We stayed in room 63 Sept. 19-22nd 2008. We were in town for a weddding and our 1st weekend without the children (5½ and 1½). The hotel is 5 min walk from the Croisette, 20 min walk from the Hotel de Ville. I took a nap in the afternoon and did not lock the front door. It was not very easy to lock it. Someone came in and stole my cash and travellers checks. Overall the room was all right, not terrific. It was on the first floor with a balcony. The balcony was not clean and the chairs were not useable.... more

Good value even with the rising Euro, not many hotels in Cannes could claim that accolade anymore! Very polite english speaking staff with a lovely relaxed but attentive French style. Staying at the Provence was a refreshingly tranquil and trouble free experience. The staff were warm, friendly and as attentive as they needed to be. We were walking around looking for a different hotel that had been recommended to us and saw Hotel de Provence and decided to check it out. We are glad we did. It is a wonderful small hotel. We had two rooms, both of them were in the front of the building with the balcony. The rooms overlooked the front garden.... more
