Have just returned from the Carlton. Was lucky enough to have been on an all expenses paid trip as the Hotel and Cannes itself were VERY expensive. The hotel is beautiful, elegant and very chic. Our room was gorgeous. We didn't see amy of the negative stuff that other people have posted, although it would be nice to have tea... more

Everything was top notch from the location to the service. It is extremely expensive though so whether it is value for money is debatable. A coffee in the bar is 20 euro for example which can never be good value regardless of location or quality of the cup. If you have the money or someone else will spend it for... more

Just returned from 3 days/2 nights at this hotel for a conference. The hotel was very disappointing. I had read the reviews on tripadvisor before going and can confirm bedrooms need a major refurbishment. The restaurants / bar rooms were in good condition. My room was on the 3rd floor, facing the back and sure enough there seemed to be... more

It is as beautiful as in the movies (and perfume ads), quiet, central, and quite comfortable. Friendly staff (especially for France) gave room upgrade so the room was good value for money. Lots of elderly American tourists. Best location in town on the Croisette. Nice decor, not very large rooms. Excellent service. more

Still delivering a good efficient stay, year after year. Rooms are clean and large - beds very comfy and decor good with nice touches. Service excellent in all dining areas and room service was particlarly impressive. Breakfast arrived within 10 minutes...now that is good...exept for the price EUR 35 for a continental breakfast !!! Complete rip off as is the... more

Stayed on our honeymoon trip for two nights. We arrived early and they allowed us to check in (about three hours early). We found we had been upgraded to a junior suite at no extra charge. Being there early, we were startled when they brought in champagne and chocolates. They apologized that they were not already in the room, for... more

I stayed at this hotel for 1 week for approximately 225 Euros per night in a single bed room. The hotel exterior and lobby are fabulous. Rooms are quiet, clean, and modern. Bathrooms are stunning in all marble and chrome with outstanding water pressure. The hotel's Internet is terribly overpriced at approximately 20-24 Euros per day; also, the location makes... more

The Carlton once was THE place to stay. It's a great location. Our room was large with a high ceiling. However, it is in desperate need of renovation. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The desk and chair were scratched up. The whole room looked like it hadn't been redone in 10 years. I suggest you find somewhere else... more

We were here last year and got stuck in the Croisette Beach Hotel for the Gartner IT EXPO. This year we managed to get into the Carlton. Don't be fooled though, this is NOT a RITZ Carlton Hotel. There is no way Ritz would pass this off as a 5 star establishment. Overall, the public spaces of the hotel are... more
