We've just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay at this little gem. It was actually a surprise B-day gift from my partner. We truly enjoyed our stay, mainly due to the friendly and helpfull staff and the cozyness of this chateau. A special thank you to Robin, who suggested some very interesting day trips to us. The hotel has... more

This is the first time I felt compelled to write a review on TripAdvisor in the hope that others don't make the same mistake that I did and book this hotel based on the positive comments below. I write a column for a UK broadsheet, am half French, and I am used to travelling extensively at considerable expense. Tourists with... more

Dear Reviewer, As the General Manager of Chateau Eza I was very surprised to read your comments. I can honestly say that this is the first time that we have been accused of “trying to extract as much money from our guests in the shortest time possible”, and I feel it is only fair to explain our point of view....

I used to pass practice in Chateau Eza during 1 month, and I can say that it is really magnificent place, the view from the gourmet restaurant is amazing, the staff speaks many languages and is very helpful, all of them are very polite and well educated, the hotel represents an old chateau, every room has its own name, private... more

The stay could not have been better. From the absolutely extraordinary view of the Mediterranean Ocean, to the impeccable service, to the most sumptuous afternoon meal on the terrace, we enjoyed ourselves immensely. We have traveled extensively throughout Europe and this by far was one of the most pleasant and memorable stays. more

We have travelled extensively and our stay in this hotel was one of the most memorable experiences we've ever had. Tiny and intimate with only 10 rooms, the hotel is a step back in time but with modern amenities. World class views from the rooms, the bar and the restaurant. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and... more

stayed for three nights and thought the service and food were outstanding. the walks up and down the hill helped to keep us fit , although it obviously would not suit anybody elderly or unsteady on their feet . more

Food, drink, service all excellent. It's a small hotel so no swimming pool etc but you go for the views which are amazing. Not cheap but for a special treat this is the place. more

Staying in a junior suite at Chateau Eza is one of the best places I have ever stayed at. This place is truly something special!! Picture cliffs about 500 metres high, overlooking the ocean, and a castle built right on top… 12 rooms… This was our place of stay for 2 nights. You have to see this view - it... more

Overall, we had an excellent experience here; we would recommend it to friends and we would come back. But there is a lot to say about it: First, many of the other comments and reviews here talk about rude staff. We didn't experience that at all, anywhere in the hotel. Reception, check-in, restaurants, bars...everyone was very nice and very helpful.... more

Decide yourself, but be prepared! We choose this hotel for our honeymoon. The hotel has great view and the atmosphere of Eze village is magical. But: 1. the overpriced rooms have this old musty smell. 2. the hotel was renovated in 2004, but the bathrooms are definitely not luxurious - not something you expect for 700 euro a night. 3.... more
