Room was clean but wallpaper fellt down, view on contruction works., .., noice of train, far from centre. Some rooms are moderised . We dined at the hotel as non-residents, attracted by the Michelin star - normally a reliable guarantee of top quality. It was a considerable disappointment. We stayed there for 3 nights, and although we liked Menton itself, Paris Rome wasn't very impressive. Some points of note: the owner/attendant was rude, there is a large, very noisy construction site right next to the hotel, and it takes a good 20-30 minutes to get to the central area where restaurants and shops are located. We booked this hotel as a group specifically because of the new year gastronomic experience, as advertised. We have had previous experiences in other hotels in France of this nature.
