We are a couple in our late fifties and own and operate a 4 star 35 bedroomed hotel in the uk - so we know what we're looking for when we travel, and we know what we're talking about. I've given this hotel 4 "blobs" as we only had a couple of gripes which could be easily put right and... more

This hotel is in a stunning location and comprises a wonderful country farmhouse with beautiful but unloved gardens. The room was spotless and comfortable and had a small terrace with a great view of the surrounding hills. The italian restaurant serves excellent but expensive food, I could have eaten anything on the menu and would have had a great meal. These... more

The hotel is in a great and convenient location. The Italian cuisine is perfectly fine. We didn't spend much time at the hotel as we were busy visiting the area but the time we spent there was very relaxing and comfortable. Would recommend it as a base for visiting the area due to the closeness to the sea and the... more

This gem of a place never disappoints and is perfectly located and blissfully quiet. The big secret really is that it has a very good restaurant attached with beautifully cooked Italian style food. Really, you should go. And please don't take your children .. it's much too good for them! more

Beautiful hotel and location. Can be parked and on the beach in 30 minutes, high season. We had the new family suite (2 large double bedrooms, large living room with plasma, large shower room and separate WC), ideal for a family but a little dark due to the small windows. Modern spartan decoration. No terrace, but the main breakfast/drinks terrace... more

A beautiful hotel in a great location but completely ruined by the attitude of the Manager. He is supremely rude, arrogant and unhelpful, almost taking pleasure in being unpleasant. The topic of conversation around the pool whilst we were there was how unbelievably rude he was! One family left early and went to another hotel in Mougins whilst we were... more

We are very surprised to have this bad advice regarding a stay in 2007 from a new Trip advisor member. Curiously it was writing the same day that we refused this family following our previous experiences with them in the interest of the peace for our other hotel guests. we are not perfect but we are not so miserable

We are just back from a 5 nights stay with our 3.5 yrs old son. The location is spot on, very close to main highways in the area so moving around is very easy, the property is located in the middle of a residential area, on a small hill, surrouded by pines. The main building is superbe, and the swimming... more

We spent 2 nights at Manoir de l"Etang after 2 nights in Nice on business. We were looking for a quiet place in the hills - close enough to the NIce airport for an early morning Sunday flight. The hotel setting is charming and nestled away from the main routes - which are about 5-10 minutes away. It's a 30... more

We have just returned from 10 days in the south of France visiting friends. We stayed at this hotel to spend a few tranquil days with our daughter who lives in Paris before flying home. This hotel was just perfect for us. From the bucolic setting in the hills above Cannes, to the cordial and professional staff and the excellent... more

The hotel looks beautiful both in photos. Having read other good reviews, we were looking forward to staying for three nights. We left after one. This was a shame as the restaurant was excellent and the restaurant staff were charming and helpful. I was kept awake all night by a banging noise coming from the wall immediately behind the bedhead,... more
