We spent 2 nights at Manoir de l"Etang after 2 nights in Nice on business. We were looking for a quiet place in the hills - close enough to the NIce airport for an early morning Sunday flight. The hotel setting is charming and nestled away from the main routes - which are about 5-10 minutes away. It's a 30... more

We have just returned from 10 days in the south of France visiting friends. We stayed at this hotel to spend a few tranquil days with our daughter who lives in Paris before flying home. This hotel was just perfect for us. From the bucolic setting in the hills above Cannes, to the cordial and professional staff and the excellent... more

I have stayed at this beautiful little place before and have come back again to check it out. It just gets better and better. Forget what you hear about service - it is actually really good (casual and friendly not solicitous ***** star), but attentive to detail. The rooms are very clean and quiet and this hotel can only be... more

The hotel looks beautiful both in photos. Having read other good reviews, we were looking forward to staying for three nights. We left after one. This was a shame as the restaurant was excellent and the restaurant staff were charming and helpful. I was kept awake all night by a banging noise coming from the wall immediately behind the bedhead,... more

You couldn't ask for a more beautiful hotel. If you're looking for a quiet retreat, but close to the city (Cannes and Nice) this is the place. Arriving here after a long drive, we wanted to stay forever! The grounds are so picturesque and is kept incredibly clean. The staff was fairly accomodating. They seemed a little put out when... more

This hotel was perfect for a quiet, romantic hideway and an ideal location for exploring the South of France. It was a great way to stay outside of any of the cities, but still be close enough to see all the sites. more

This is a wonderful small hotel sitated only 6 kms from Cannes. Despite its proximity to a large city , it is quiet and has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Lavender and rosemary grow abundantly and emit their fresh scent. We stayed in a family suite which was ideal for our 2 children aged 12 and 9 years. There... more

This is a lovely hotel in an old villa. The staff was very friendly but I never felt very welcomed by the manager. It may have been just a French aloofness. The Italian restaurant on site is excellent. Rooms very clean and moderately spacious. You may want to request that your room not be in the rear - we were... more
