Amazing location...... very comfortable large double room with own ensuite showeroom. Very quiet for being so central. I was on the 5th floor with lift. I felt very safe. I also had the breakfast which was excellent........I had a wonderful time in Nice having travelled from Paris by train. Sitting at a cafe on the seafront watching the intrepid swimmers. What better thing could you do in January. I also visited Villefranche by train 10mins from Nice. Another amazing old fishing village just along the coast where we sipped iced cold white wine and dined on brushetta with burrata cheese.

When I arrived, the reception stated that the system crashed and my payment cannot be confirmed, As a result, I had to leave my ID until the system gets back to normal. One evening my card for the room was not working. However, this was quickly fixed from the receptionist. Otherwise, the location was top and the room was clean.

Booking this hotel was a huge mistake. They charged me money and then offered a terribly dirty room to stay. I booked a separate room in this hostel. When I arrived late in the evening, I encountered multiple problems at once. The room was extremely dirty. There was a lot of dust and small trash on the bedroom floor and in the bathroom. The toilet was covered with a thick layer of yellow dirt. The bed sheets were gray. I believe they were clean, but they were so old and reused that their color had turned gray. It was disgusting, and I realized that I couldn't stay in the room. Together with the reception employee, we documented all the issues, and he agreed that the room was completely unacceptable. He told me that a refund was possible, but I had to discuss it with the hostel manager, who would be available the following day. In the end, I easily found a much cheaper hotel nearby, Hôtel Florence Nice. Next morning I had a difficult conversation with the hostel manager. She claimed that there was just a little dust that could have been cleaned by the reception employee, if I had waited for 10 minutes. She chose to ignore my questions about dirty toilet. Finally, I said that I did not trust the cleaning skills of the reception personnel, and that the room wasn't ready for my arrival, as promissed. In response, the hostel manager said, that I had agreed to the no-refund policy when I booked the room, and my reluctance to live in a dirty room was (my problem) my choise. Later I tried to contact the property via messenger, but was ignored. Altogether, I paid € 548.80 for the room unbearable to stay in, for the room I didn't stay in even for a minute, with the hostel personnel telling me they already have my money, so I had to accept whatever they offered. Awesome!

NEVER STAY HERE! We stayed in a bunk room and someone was throwing up in their bed and OVER THE EDGE OF THEIR TOP BUNK all over the floor all night. We had to sleep there the rest of the night. Someone “cleaned up the mess” but covered the smell with Febreze which quickly went away. We slept with clothes over our faces to avoid the smell. They would not let us switch rooms immediately and so we had to sit there with the vomit smell. It was horrible. We were in tears asking to cancel our booking for the next two nights. They would not let us because it wasn’t 24 hrs in advance even though we paid extra for free cancellation. No refund and we were yelled at by the manager and director when asking nicely to please get some reimbursement. They wouldn’t let us speak to the owner. It was horrible.

Lets start with the positives, the area is great. And the soundproofing within the hostel is good. Thats about it. I travel a lot, i stay in everything from hostels to fancy hotels. This is somewhere I'd never return to. I get it, F1 weekend, everywhere is sold out. However, when you book a 4 bed room, there should only be 4 beds in there - not 5. Communication with staff shocking, no one knew anything and the managers offer of a free crappy breakfast for 1 day when I have Nice on the doorstep is unacceptable customer service. A refund for at least one night would be the least I would expect. You are overselling a product - and not a very good one. I have stayed in a lot of hostels all over the world. The quality of this one is one of the worst. Rickety metal frame beds, no privacy cutains etc. No individual lights. 4 broken and busted up lockers - for 5 people I hasten to add. The photos do not represent what this place is selling, its old and dated and not shiny and new like the photos claim! I don't think I've ever left such a negative review of a place. Such a shame as it could be so much better. Like I say, the location was excellent. The hostel replied to my original review, and I do not like to be called a liar, they claim they offered to refund me the difference between a 4 and a 5 bed room, not true. All I was offered was a breakfast from a rude British woman who "couldn't do anything else". So watch out for terrible customer service and lies if you complain as well. I will upload their reply as a photo as I took a screen shot before I edited my response.

My friend and I booked a room here and intended to go this week. However, our train was canceled, still 24 hours before the reservation. We called the hostel seven times (before the 24 hour period before our reservation began had started) before getting an answer. We were told to email them to cancel and get a refund. By the time we emailed and got a response, it was less than 24 hours before the reservation was meant to start. We were told via email we could not get a refund despite having called to cancel before the 24 hour deadline and being told on the phone we could have one. This is absolutely ridiculous, we are both now down a good amount of money and for no fault of our own.

I stayed in this hostel a little over a week ago, a very bad moment: Having had no choice after a canceled flight, I fell back on this establishment which at first sight seemed nice. I was quickly disappointed: Nothing is included, we sell you the towel for 7 euros at the reception and we tell you where to buy a padlock for the night. The bathroom does not even have a shower mat and the noise of the ventilation leaves you afraid of respite. A very meager service when you pay 40 euros per night. Vacation adventure let's say it's just one night and it's not the end of the world? If it was only that… When I arrived, the receptionist told me that a double reservation appeared on her software, following a bug on the booking.com site. I am therefore invited to contact them by telephone, the fact immediately and booking.com tells me that it has obtained the oral agreement for reimbursement from the establishment, but is still awaiting written confirmation.. confirmation writing which will never be sent to booking... so I contact the establishment again a week later and I am told that this double booking is an error on my part and that no refund will be accepted given the conditions "no refundable” of this one: an answer that I find extremely dishonest, given the fact that ALL the staff were aware of this double reservation as soon as I arrived and that the bed I reserved was most likely rented to another traveler. Also working in the field of tourism abroad, I make sure that the tourists I welcome have a much better experience, and never treat them the way I was treated during this stay. So I am giving you my 36 euros as a gift, which you can jealously keep. What a shame. I strongly advise against this hostel !

Hi. We regret to read that you were not completley satisfied with your stay at the hostel. All bookings from booking.com are automatically generated into the hostel reservation system. We received two bookings under your name for the same day and so it was necessary to cancel one of the bookings when you arrived. It seemed that either you have inadvertently made two reservations or there was an error on the part of booking.com. Either way, all cancellations must be notified at least 24 hours in advance otherwise the full amount of the reservation will be charged. Because you cancelled the reservation on the day of arrival the full amount was charged.

A great location but this is a party hostel and won't suit many. Staff were disinterested at best, rude at worst. Good: • WiFi excellent • €5 breakfast brilliant and lots on offer including toast, spreads, cheese, ham, salami, juices, cereals, apples, yoghurt, boiled eggs) • location is fab • room comfortable with good WiFi Bad: • staff member at checkout was incredibly rude. I suggest everyone who pays the keycard deposit gets a receipt. We're sure that we were overcharged but have no way of proving this • It's a party place (which I appreciate some will love) so not great for meeting others or chilling out.

Hi. It is not normal that the staff were unfriendly and we apologise if this was the case. There is a 24 hour reception so staff are always available to help guest with any questions or problems they may have regarding their stay. We do ask for a three euro deposit for the key and normally this is recorded on the guests booking, however it seems an error occured in this case and we apologise for the inconvenience caused.

I took a chance on this hostel as I had to switch at the last minute, I thought it might be a party hostel but they assured me the rooms are quiet, which they are as in you can't hear the music too loudly, but as everyone is there to party it does spill into the room a bit. Not complaining, just be aware. The location is great, it's pretty clean as hostels go, The staff seem nice esp the chap on the front desk, I don't know his name but he's from Manchester and went above and beyond. The real disappointment for me was the things that are listed as being offered that aren't. I travel solo so I really like having the option of eating at the hostel, They say they have a restaurant, I didn't find it, apparently they do offer food but only after 7pm, although other guests said that wasnt so. . Also stated they offer tea, coffee and hot chocolate but they don't. Otherwise room was fine, bed comfy, bar area nice. I wouldn't personally go back, not because it's bad, just because it's not my scene. If you are looking to party though then it's prob a good choice.
