One of the worst experiences I have ever had staying in a hotel. Unfortunately, August in Nice-France is a difficult time to get a hotel....so this was the only place we could find. We booked a triple. We checked in and then walked around, not wanting to stay in our room. We asked for towels (which were all tattered and... more
Booked through Venere.com. This hotel was a nightmare! Dirty rooms, dirty hallways, horrible surroundings. LOUD LOUD jackhammer noises outside. There was nothing good about it. We booked it for 3 nights but left at 630am after the first night. PAY A LITTLE MORE AND GET A DECENT PLACE. De Berne is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!! more

A friendly reception, good comfortable room with TV, bathroom, etc, even if corridors slightly grubby. Good value too and a special offer of €44. more

Negative: The room smelled like mildew, dust and cigarette smoke mixed together eventough we had a nonsmoking room. The bed cover seemed like it hasn't been washed for years because when I tap... more
I love the location, near the station and a lot of cheap chinese restaurant. The hotel itself is not to clean, the hallway smelled like trash can, and the bed was saggy, the bathroom in one of the room (we booked 3 rooms) was leaking. more
