Stayed at the Regency for 4 nights in July 2007 after reading reviews and were not disappointed. The hotel is clean and basic (it is a 2 star), but the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location is superb, with the main shopping and dining areas straight outside the hotel door. The promenade is only a five minute walk away, and the old town (DEFINATELY worth a visit) is ten minutes away. On recommendations from previous reviews I asked for a room at the back - BIG MISTAKE!!! There is a factory/restaurant at the back - and they start work at 6 am! They are not very quiet! I would definately recommend this hotel, when we return we will use the Regency again.
