this was a pretty simple pace to stay, right in the heart of nice. there were a few problems with the room that the staff straigtened out right away. they were very helpful, accomidating and welcoming.

Clean, spacious bathroom, nice bedroom, downside - lack of tea making facilities, and a noisy street, if you sleep with an open window (1 night was quite hot). But otherwise, it is a pleasant hotel, clean and very close to the Messena Square, amenieties and few minutes away from the beach. Highly recommended.

I have stayed in many different hotels - mostly 2 & 3 star - across Nice over the last ten years and the Univers is the one that hits the price/quality/cleanliness/location sweet spot for me. Great location but for a 3 star hotel the amenities are quite basic even though I had a superior room. Rooms are far from sound proof and you can hear every conversation in the corridors! Value for the price is OK but I wouldn't stay there again to get a good night sleep.
