We had booked 2 rooms for 1 night on the first weekend in July.
On check-in, we were given keys to our rooms and told where the stairs to the first floor were At the top of the stairs, we found ourselves plunged into a pitch-dark corridor. Thinking the lights might be "auto", we proceeded cautiously but no light came on at all. There were a few, very dim and distant "security" lights and some light (it was dusk) coming through a small window at the far end of the very long corridor. However, it was nearly impossible to see in front of one's face or anything that may have been on the floor.
I went back downstairs to be informed that there was a power cut! Incidentially, this "power cut" only affected the upper floors of the building - no problem in the reception area or adjacent premises (bars and restaurants) - odd but apparently true.
