We booked two nights at this hotel to coincide with my birthday as a bit of a treat. I was a little wary after reading some of the very negative comments on this site but we were reassured after discovering it featured on Alistair Sawday's 'Special Places to Stay' website. I was expecting the room to be small but not... more

Located just above Monte Carlo and the Med this hotel has it all, a congenial host, fantastic views and a position to die for. If you are intending to stay here then book one of the two rooms overlooking the sea or room 3 which gives both a view of the Med and the village square where all the action... more

Might not be the most ideal of hotels for travelers. Its a bit out of the way in the tiny town of Roquebrune. Small hotel but its location just completely makes up for it! The spectacular views over the coast of France and the city of Monaco is just breathtaking. The owner seems nice and knows decent English. There isnt... more

We recently stayed 2 nights at Les Deux Freres. We had a bit of trouble finding it from the "low road", but just call and Willem and he will "talk you in". The hotel is on the little plaza at the top of the village, with amazing views to the ocean. When you drive up to the plaza, there's a... more

My husband and I stayed here to 5 nights and had the most wonderful time! We arrived around 1400 and the hotel was deserted and it took a little while to work out that we had to take the key to our room which was hanging on the door. We had room 2 which was up one flight of stairs... more

We booked the last room available, probably the worst of the hotel; for sure the worst never seen in our life: dirty, small, badly furnished. Impossible to sleep there because of the broken window. We did a compliant in order to cancel our booking and save our money and dignity, but the manager, very rude & unpolite, did not accept... more

Wow! this stay was magnificent! the location was amazing with that view! the rooms aren't the biggest, ok, but we where only there for sleeping for a few hours. Also, dinner was very good. Dutch owner, very nice guy, loves to tell you about the region and stuff.. very interesting! [--] more

The amazing view is the only good thing I can say about this hotel. Don't go here if you are looking to sleep through the night! We were booked into room 10 on the ground floor and assured by someone who worked at the hotel that it would be very 'tranquille' because the road closes at 1pm. Yes, the road... more

The Hotel Les Deux Freres occupies what must be one of the most magnificent sites in the South of France. Clinging to a cliff on the edge of a charming small village that retains its medieval flavor and character, it boasts views to the azure Mediterranean 900 feet below, and westward to Monaco and beyond. The Dutch owner, Willem, always... more
