This hotel has had a special place in my heart for nearly twenty years, and I will gladly make the journey a third of the way around the world from Seattle in economy class any time I get the opportunity to come here. I have been a guest five times and hope to return on many occasions in the future.... more

Staying at Le Hameau feels more like being a guest in a private home than a hotel. It used to be a farm and the owners have maintainted the old-fashioned and rustic atmosphere. All of the rooms are different and there are photos of them all on the website although I had to phone and talk my way through them... more

We just returned from a 4 night stay at Le Hameau. True, the hotel is charming, breakfast is wonderful and it has a good location just outside the town. You may want to consider that the shower was only a hand held that was not mounted high on the wall, but rather you had to hold it above you with... more

I just returned from a 2 week stay in France with my parents and husband. One of the highlights was Le Hameau. The pictures on the web is really how the place looks. Breakfasts were outside on the terrace and were very good. The setting made for excellent photos. My parents had the independant house. It was lovely sitting on... more

We spent 4 of our 7 nights holiday to the South of France at Le Hameau in St Paul De Vence. We booked directly with the hotel through email and they even sent us pictures of which rooms were available so you could make your own choice! The hotel is beautiful with well kept gardens and pool area with views... more

I stayed with my partner at Le Hameau for six nights in July 2007, and found this to be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. In fact, it's so lovely I really wanted to keep it to myself (but that's not in the spirit of Trip Advisor!) The hotel is situated on a main road about... more

Plusses: This hotel was as charming as promised with a gorgeous setting and friendly staff The hotel was conveniently located next to the walled villiage of “St Paul De Vence” and a 10-minute drive to the walled city of “Vence” – note two different villages to discover for the price of one. Our room (the least expensive) had an awesome... more

This trip did not disappoint and was truly wonderful. Everything about the area is delicious as the smell of the glorious flowers are every you go. Le Hameau was exactly as is portrayed in their website. The only thing missing is a bar area which we made up for by taking out own wine in and drinking but I imagine... more

Le Hameau captures the spirit of relaxation and informal luxury in its charming rooms, private patios, welcoming pool with unimpeded views of the Mediterranean and diverse relaxation spots around the property, which was once a farm. The world of tourist busses and crowds that haunts St. Paul seems blissfully far away, as you enjoy house-made marmalade on croissants with your... more

If only our three days could have been a week...or two. What was best? The breakfast in the garden? The pool with a view? The comfortable bed? Who could choose! Maybe it was the proximity to St. Paul (without being in the tourististic hub), or being in walking distance to Galerie Maeght (and not having to worry about parking), or... more
