We were glad to get a room on short notice, and the owner was helpful over the phone. The ground-floor room was small with one tiny window, but it was clean and cozy, and pretty quiet. The patio by the pool is pretty, a nice place to start the day. I would have liked this hotel fine, except that it... more

We were pleased with our one night at Hotel Villa Roseraie. I did not have much choice in hotels when I made the last minute decision to spend a night in Vence. The owner, Max, was very nice when I called and booked a room. When we arrived, he was very nice and accomodating. I have no complaints with the... more

We ended up having to stay here for one night as the hotel where we usually stay was booked up. Thankfully it was only one night. The rooms, although advertised and falsely reviewed here as charming, basically look like a brothel. Super small with old furniture and room down accessories. Further, there is no air-conditioning. Thank god it wasn't too... more

From the minute we checked in the hotel owners were nasty. Overpriced for what it was and they dont appear to want guest. They told us we must leave the pool area on Sunday after we checked out at 10.00am. There was noone there....come on! Also we wer told tht since we did not purchase the bottle of water from... more

Having stayed at the Villa Roseraie for three nights, we cannot but corroborate the praise and criticism given on here so far. The location of the hotel is very good, with all the sights of Vence as well as public transport within 5 min walking distance. The hotel garden and swimming pool are very pretty and well kept. However, whilst... more

Keep away from this place: overpriced, pure kitsch sold as antique. The rooms are small, old-fashioned, squeeky and dusty. For the 134€/night + 13€/person breakfast you could get a much better deal in Vence. The owner is a crook: we booked 3 nights and cancelled the 3rd night with 3 days notice before arrival; The result? We were charged for... more

The hotel is in a lovely location, just a short stroll from the old town and the host was friendly and helpful. It has a very nice open air breakfast terrace overlooking the swimming pool. (If you would like to swim, you need to bring proper swimming trunks, no swimming shorts etc.) We did feel however that it was overpriced... more

We recently spent 3 nights at Villa Roseraie after staying in Nice to escape the hustle of the city. Vence is the ideal place to have a romantic getaway. Villa Roseraie is a small hotel that is nice but overpriced for what it offers compared to other places we have stayed in the past. The room was small and felt... more

We loved our stay here. The hotel is perfectly located, five minutes' walk from the old city of Vence and right in the heart of the new town. The couple who run the hotel could not have been more charming - Madame supervised breakfast and was always ready with a warm smile, and Monsieur looked after reception and was great... more

I loved my stay here, sadly just one night. Very pleasant lady in charge, room with wonderful views on two sides of swimming pool and countryside, and room full of pretty painted furniture. Best of all, I had an open air swim with the pool to myself - and they leave huge towels by the pool. more
