All the things I like in a hotel. Great service (front desk to chamber...everyone). Very cool hotel bar with great people watching. Walking distance to great rest's. Walking distance to train. And an amazing view. The balcony was perfect for diner and people watching while our 9 month old slept in a Luxury PakNPlay provided by hotel. We will return.... more

My wife and I stayed at Villefranche for 4 nites in August. The hotel was OK. The air conditioning wasn't that great .. The mornings were very hot and although they advertise you can control the AC from your room .. its not true .. oddly the lobby was always quite cool though, I believe the AC(in room) was on... more

A bit disappointing really. We would give it 3.5 stars if this category existed. The main disappointment was that our room had a connecting door to the room next door and there was no sound proofing. Location, location, location: The Hotel Welcome has it all under this heading, as all of its guests will attest from their balconies overhanging the Mediterranean. The rooms are comfortable, if unshowy; the staff is friendly; breakfast is adequate; but the location trumps all. Staff were helpful and speak English. Hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Room was not large, but not too small. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the harbor. For the price, we felt Hotel Welcome provided excellent value. We were in room # 38 on the third floor (second floor for Brits), on the corner, with two balconies, spectacular water view looking towards Cap Ferrat. Spacious, with cheerful wallpaper. We finished our vacation with a wonderful 5 night at Hotel Welcome.
