We stayed in the hotel purely for the unique experience of staying in the Unite d'Habitation. We took a big room with sea view but only because that was what was left when we booked - would rather have gone for something with a balcony, and actually the 'park view' was probably at least as good as the sea view.... more

We stayed here purely because of the heritage of the building, but don't think it only suits 'arty architectural types' as mentioned below. Of course it is a living, working building and it has the character that 50 years of use brings, but to be able to stay in such a world renowned building for a reasonable rate and have... more

By reading all these comments, we could wonder if the best is to go there or not. The reply is YES. Being in this hotel is a wonderful experience for all architecture's fans. Of course this is not a palace and probably the owners are not totally professional. They insist too much about going to their restaurant, and the breakfast... more

for anyone who loves architecture this is a perfect place. we arrived on a sunday night and were blown away by the retro surroundings. more like an art gallery than a hotel. we expected that the surrounding area would not be great, but actually the hotel is surrounded by a huge park - our kids loved it, they also loved... more

We stayed in the hotel for three nights, the first night taking in one of the larger sea facing rooms, the last two in one of the smaller rooms. The rooms were very clean and the owners have gone to great pains to keep the original 50s fittings, style and design which is a real treat, something very different from... more

We stayed for one night on 22nd May 2008. At 5am I woke with 4 huge bites on my body and my girlfriend had also been attacked. We slept on the floor for the rest of the night. On confronting the management, she accused us of being dirty and of bringing the infestation with us. This hotel will now be... more

OK, so I was just flicking through Tripadviser - I'm an addict, and I thought I'd look and see what people said about this place as I stayed here a couple of years ago and totally LOVED it. The negative and uninformed comments have driven me to leave some balanced opinion. This place deserves a better rep than the other... more

Set on the 3 rd and 4th floor of the La Cité Radieuse and designed by Le Corbusier this is a bit like stepping back in time. Original furniture and interior decor remain almost untouched since they were originally installed and genuinely recreate the vision of Le Corbusier. The rooms are large, airy and air conditioned and decorated with abstracts... more

We stayed here for one night as we had an early morning flight out of Marseille the next day. It is a fascinating place and also very powerful, in that the building affects your mood / mindset and is thought provoking. That said there were problems which you should be aware of before visiting. Forewarnings: 1. it is hard to... more

Unfortunately I was swayed by the architectural history of this hotel. Had I seen these reviews, I would've stayed elsewhere. First off, the hotel was very difficult to locate. And secondly, it's so out of the way and not very conveniently located (about 20 minutes from the port). When we finally arrived, the building was very shabby. Talk about false... more
