Stayed here for my husbands birthday, waking up and looking out the window at the harbour was just brilliant. The staff were really nice and very helpful as well. There is a bar just across the road as you come out the front door, we used this local bar and for 3 euro a time we had a large glass... more

Hotel Hermes is convenient and located right at the Marseille harbour. The rooms are "cosy", so if you have a suitcase, you'd struggle to find a place for it! It can get a little noisy from the housekeeping that starts around 9am. The cleaning maid even came into our room one morning before we'd even left (it was 10am)! There... more

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel this September. The staff were extremely helpful and very nice, they really went out of their way to help. This hotel is very basic the rooms are small and there is very little in terms of decoration but its location is fantastic there is a great view of the old port and... more

We stayed in the honeymoon suite for the first night of (naturally) our honeymoon. It was great. The room is a bit small, but shutters keep it very dark at night. The view from the balcony is great, overlooking Marseille's harbour. We had a picnic dinner and enjoyed the sights. The room was also quiet and clean, and the front... more

Stayed one night in this Hotel, would have stayed longer but it was booked out due to a football match in the town the following evening. Liked the location just off the quay side, the room was by french standards average, but clean and bright. bathroom good size and clean. The roof terrace looks out over the whole port. Breadkfast... more

Stayed here for 4 nights in May. Hotel was good value - great location right beside the port. Staff were really friendly and went out of there way to find information on a spot a fair way out of Marseille that we wanted to visit. Rooms were small, but clean. Hotel has a lift which was a blessing seeing as... more

Hotel Hermes is very well situated in a side street just up from the main port area with lots of great little restaurants all around. The hotel is quite pleasant and the young man on the desk when we arrived was very helpful and friendly. Same cannot be said for older man who was there in the evening. There was... more

Great location, tiny room. It is in an older building just behind the old port (we could see the port from our window), but the room is totally modern and really tiny. Very clean, and bright. Stank of too much air freshener or cleaning products. Friendly staff. We loved the squares and side streets filled with restaurants on the other... more

Good value for the money spent! Rooms are clean but very very small. So if you care that your room is tiny, don't stay here. Otherwise, a very nice stay. more
