We loved this hotel. Our "regular" room was rather spacious and had a great view over the lake, the setting is beautiful, the staff is helpful and the restaurant is very good. The waiters in the restaurant are somewhat "distinguished" but very friendly. There is no hotel swimming facility as - we were told - the founder of the hotel... more

What a beautiful location right on the lake in one of Europe's prettiest towns.This hotel caters mainly for conferences and business and this perhaps explains why there are no facilities for guests to lounge outside and enjoy the fantastic views.Similarly there is no pool although you will be offered towels if you wish to swim in the lake. We stumbled upon this beautiful property as we traveled from the Loire Valley to the French Alps, They only had one suite left which where we enjoyed the sights, toured the village and then were rested enough to continue our trip. Everything about this hotel was superb! more

This hotel is absolutely amazing!! The scenery is magnificent and the service is excellent. If you have a chance to stay in this hotel, lake view room is a MUST! I highly recommend this hotel for at least, a once in a lifetime experience. more

okay, so if at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Well I have tried the Imperial for 3 years now and the place is just horrid. The lakefron setting on Lake Annecy is gorgeous. The rooms are expensive, and small, in an art-deco style that took me by surprise. The staff certainly was adequate, but I really didn't find anyone overly helpful, and service was slow...perhaps it is just the continental way. more
