Nice small hostel, not a classic hostel as only the only communal areas are the bar. Food great, albeit expensive for what it is. Bar prices are also expensive. But the staff are lovely and our room was tidy and well appointed. I did bang my head 17 times in one week on various parts of the roof though.

I've been staying at this place for years (5 times since 2005), on and off, and the things going wrong with it aren't related to price. I loved this place. First visit to Chamonix and first time on the slopes for at least a decade. Has a real homely feel yet at same time really cool in a grungy eXtreme snowboarder-ey way. Very international. Great staff, comfortable, brilliant food, central location; everything you want for a budget price. Would deffo go back
