this was the worst place i have ever been to in my life....it was so bad that when we got to the tiny room, that reeked of smoke, me and my girlfriend spent 5 minutes formulating a plan how to leave and get our money back, so we pretended someone had died and had to leave...it was THAT bad. more

We were staying here as part of a month long bike trip round Europe so were being careful with the costs of hotels - but we definitely weren't just 'grateful for the hot shower' as a previous reviewer put it. We stayed here for one night because I had a meeting at the university the next day. We had no choice when it came to the hotel - this is where the university puts you when it's paying the bill. Conveniently located beside one of the city's silent, electric trolley lines, Hotel de l'Europe had a nice lobby with a large flat screen TV and breakfast available for a price (which we did not try).
