Small hotel only 100 metres away from the Saone river. Between the Rhone and the Saone.Small side street but the hotel has been renovated to a good standard. Rooms are not big, but very clean and well appointed. It is right in the Great restaurant quarter of Lyon. Very friendly staff who spoke really good English, the breakfast buffet looked... more

This hotel is in a very good location right near the footbridge over the river to the old town with a nearby underground parking lot on top of which is held the market on market days. The room we had was very small, a bit bigger than the bed with a nice bathroom. We did not eat breakfast there but... more

We paid 150 euros per night, not including breakfast, for a small room classified as 'large'. Room rates were almost double the advertised rates because of the rugby games during that period. The closet had little storage space and very poor access. The towel shelves in the bathroom were too small fo contain the towels so they kept dropping to... more

I moved here after two sleep-disturbed nights at Residence. My room was TINY. I mean, luggage barely fit. But, it was quiet and quite nice, bed was fine. The shower was refurbished but awkward. If you're tall and/or large do not get a small room/bathroom. The lobby here is pretty, and the sunroom/breakie room is very lovely. I didn't see... more

I booked a "deluxe" room for a conference in Lyon which had all the other hotels fully packed. The hotel is on a street with ladies of the night hanging out in the alley. These women hang out during the day in early evening so that even if you think you are not going out late, it will be a... more

We spent 5 nights at this hotel and were very impressed. Well located hotel just off the banks of the Saone 5 minutes walk across footbridge to old town. No restaurant but large and varied choice of bistros and restaurants within 2-5 minutes walk. Reasonably sized, quiet, comfortable air-conditioned room with good en-suite and hot drink facilities in room. Helpful... more

This hotel is in an ideal spot in Lyon. Steps away from the river and weekend market. Many great restaurants in the area. With the Bouchon Lyonnais La Traboulerie on 58 rue Merciere a top spot. Commanderie restaurant on the river front street next to La Post is a wonderful atmospheric place as well with wood fired ovens where all... more

Comfort Hotel Lyon was 51-52 euros a double per night, including breakfast (booked on the Net). Being across the road from the river and bridge direct to the Old Town it was very convenient. The shops in the newer part of town were right nearby as well. The first afternoon coming back to our hotel, we noticed the "ladies" in... more

This hotel could not be more centrally located. As previously stated, it's not even a half a block from the Saone river and the bridges that lead into Vieux Lyon. Its also less than a five minute walk to the main square (place bellefour) and its metros. The farmers market a few steps away from the hotel lobby was great... more

We stayed at the Hotel St. Antoine (Comfort Inn) for 4 days in 4/05. It was cold & rainy, so the perfect location, 1 block from Rue Merciere (solid bistros) and between most major sights was appreciated. Staff very pleasant; good 2 star hotel. Kay & Gary Brown, Laguna Hills, CA more
