We really enjoyed our stay at the tsantelena. Our room was confortable and very clean with street view.We were already there 8 years ago when it was still 3 stars. The staff from reception could not have been more helpful. Our rate included half board and the food was excellent. We would highly recommend this hotel for its location, service and food. more

This is a 3 star hotel (although I hear its moving up to a 4 star). It has just been refurbished with a lovely pool and spa area added. Gorgeous bar and right in the centre of town. Really good value - just as nicely furnished as some of the "posh" hotels in town but without the price tag. I... more

First of all, I booked my stay through the tourist office of Val D'Isere. They offered week packages for specific hotel categories with a generic price, than you had to choose a hotel within the category. I booked the week package for 3*hotels and then chose the Tsanteleina, mainly because of the new wellness area that was about to open... more

I booked a last minute skiing trip and found that the Tsanteleina were the only hotel that could accomodate us for a few nights rather than everyone else around who wanted the full week. Online booking via email with the hotel was easy and given the price and the location, I found it pretty reasonable especially for the halfboard option.... more

we stayed here whilst skiing in march. found the room a bit small and dated, for the money we paid. breakfast was poor always seemed to just a a few scraps of bacon left and a scraping of eggs on the buffet. and were short of milk and juice most times, granted we usually came down later than most guests... more

For a French ski resort our room (B+ room) was big and included a separate lounge area with flat screen TV with balconey over looking the mountains (4th floor). You are always going to have people enjoying themselves in a sky resort and yes with the balcony patio door open the noise levels were noticeable in the evenings but not... more

Arrived at the tsanteleina to discover we were given the wrong room but after a quick word with our very helpful rep, Nick from Inghams we got a new room sorted - very spacious and clean - thanks to the lovely cleaner who couldn't do enough to help. The staff (if you smile nicely) are probably some of the friendliest... more

This is a great hotel, in a a fabulous location. Smack in the middle of town, yet only a few minutes from the gondola. Family style accomodations, and rates that include breakfast and dinner. Would return without hesitation. more

If you want a friendly and comfortable hotel right in the heart of Val D'Isere then look no further! The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk to the lifts, restaurants and shops. Half board is a good option, 5 course menu offering fine French food. We were truly impressed by the standard of cooking. (Children's buffet also available.)... more

This was my third visit to Val d'Isere and the third hotel at which I have stayed. The previous visits were to the Hotel Blizzard (4 Star)next door and the Le Becca (2 Star) out at Le Laisanant. The Tsanteleina compares unfavourably with both for different reasons. First, the positives. We booked direct online and this was efficient. The room was large... more
