I stayed in Residence Le Villaret in February of 2009 with some friends. While we were well aware before departing that we were not going to be staying in top-class accommodation, nevertheless what we found on our arrival was beneath our modest expectations.

In brief, the apartment was in a poor state of repair. The first thing which struck us was the faint odour, the source of which we could not identify. The ventilation in the windowless toilet was not functioning. The absence of a shower curtain in the bathroom made showering a challenge! The panel at the side of the bath had warped - something which did not appear to have been a recent occurrence. The panelling in the galley kitchen was badly chipped. I've stayed in much better apartments, in Val d'Isère and elsewhere, for comparable cost. This was the most negative experience I've had in Val. more
