Spent a long weekend in Heidelberg to take in the Weihnachtsmarkts here and in surrounding towns. Our two-story suite (Junior Suite 1) had a splendid view of the Old Bridge out the front and of Heidelberg Castle out the back (upstairs room). We have stayed at the Alten Brucke in 2006 and returned again this year with an infant in tow and stayed 6 days. Once again, the property managers Alex and Rainer made sure our stay was comfortable. Partial praise to the owners of this hotel. They have taken what seems to be an ancient building and gutted it to make a very modern 3-4star hotel which seems to work or I should say would work much better if they paid more attention to what really is required in a hotel which charges the ABSURD for what it... more
