the 15 minutes it takes to get to the center of heidelberg are nothing if you think of the splendid greenery and fresh air you are enjoying . the atmosphere is cozy and the beergarden is excellent . the room proved to be functional (although there was no airconditioning ) as well as the spacious fully accessible bathroom

Also stayed here for a conference at EMBL (to which is a pleasant walk in summer). The hotel is very nice, if a bit barren. The Bauhaus displays and art are very nice. For Heidelberg proper, it is in a terrible location. Staff friendly, food pretty good. Overall, for conferences, its okay.
