I have visited Mannheim for business since the early 80's. Stayed at the Maritim for the first 15 years. Maritim is now run down and not recommendable. The Dorint is excellent for business travellers. Great location. Good staff. Modern, clean rooms. Breakfast is superb. I’ve had nothing but itchy, sleepless, uncomfortable nights as a result of contracting scabies from the Dorint Kongress Hotel in Mannheim. That's right; I went to Germany and only came home with scabies as my souvenir. Good hotel mainly for business trips in Mannhein . Breakfast also OK . Situated near the shopping area . Convinient for going out for dinner ; lots of restaurant nearby. Tip : if you're chossing this hotel be aware that they're building in the back a Congress Hall , which of course means a lot of noise starting with 7... more

Always a friendly welcome even as on this occasion arrival was at midnight. Very comfortable room/suite. Excellent breakfast table - one of the best in Germany. Never had two free minibars in a room before!Exceptional more

I stayed at the Dorint Kongress Jan 12 - 14th. It was a very pleasant stay. The staff is friendly in a German way.... you won't get the true pleasantries as with other countries. The Dorinit seems to be a popular hotel for business travelers. The hotel is pretty modern, good bar to hang out in off the lobby, good breakfast, and friendly staff.
