Hotel was OK, 3 stars max. BUT, we were given a room facing the street and we could not sleep the whole night (I know we should have asked to change the room, but it was kind of too late and we couldn't be bothered). This hotel has been downgraded from 4 star to 3 but as a three star option, the hotel is okay. The hotel looks like it is being renovated in bits, so at present it is a mish mash of the original furniture in the rooms along with fresh colour schemes and new tables/workdesks in the room. This is a downgraded 4* to 3* hotel. It is in need of refurbishment, and the rooms and bathrooms are small. The rooms at the front suffer from the noise of the trams, traffic and pedestrians. There is no air conditioning. The breakfasts are OK, but pricey. There are plenty of other hotels in Stuttgart, so don't pick this one! more

We stayed at this hotel for a 2-day offsite workshop with about a dozen people. Proximity of tram was alredy mentioned at was what robbed some participants of their sleep, so getting a room out the back might be a good idea. One colleague had to complain and get a new room because her bathroom apparently had not been cleaned... more

We spent three sunny days in February at the Mercure Hotel Bad Cannstatt. The hotel was clean, modern and staff friendly. Booking was done via the Internet and there were no issues with the reservation. We booked our room via the website (2 adults plus six year old sharing existing bedding), and were pleasantly surprised with our allocated room. The huge room included a lounge area, walk-in robe and a separate bed for our daughter. The room was clean with lots of natural light. The hotel is less than a block from the Kursaal stop. more

I have been there at least twice. It was recommended by a colleague. The locations is great. Good service. Decent breakfast. Clean rooms. Very close to train station (Kursaal). Walking distance to Bad Cannstatt. Would be going again and staying for best business trip. I could have gotten more expensive ones (company expense), but this one just seems to work... more
