Had paid for room in advance through travel agent and arrived at hotel at about 5 pm to be told there was no room available and that my voucher was not valid. Hotel staff just asked me to leave. I called the travel agent who talked to staff and an arrangement was made to put me up in a hotel 5 minutes away. My voucher was good for one paid night yet, the hotel then later charged me for the remaining two nights stay, and when I called they told me that I had a booking and did not show up so they charged me for the room. The credit card company and travel agent did some excellent customer service work to get things straightened out. The hotel staff was very rude and not helpful. more
