Mittenwald is a picture postcard town in Bavaria and the Hotel Rieger is an outstanding place to stay. It was late in the day when we arrived in Mittenwald and chose the Rieger by chance. A return to our favourite Mittenwald hotel with parents-in-law showed no drop in standards. Excellent all round. Great views from the balconies, a very good welcome and a "can't do enough for you" attitude. The beds are large and comfortable and the rooms excellent in size.
