The room was basic but clean, the bath great but the shower was very poor. The breakfast was excellant nad the staff lovely BUT there is no air conditioning in the rooms and in the heat of August the room was stifling. So it was either open the windows or suffocate. A nice, clean, hotel. Average size for Europe and well located to get to most major sites (10 minutes walk to the Marienplatz). We just got back from our stay here. We loved the hotel. It was nicely decorated, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, free internet in the lobby, and the location is very close to a U station. It really should be rated 1 1/2 star. Building , lobby and surrounding area are not attractive at all (but quiet). Room was ok, but min conviniences: cheap soap, etc. 5 min walk to beginning of city center and nice areas. 20- 25 min walk to Marienplatz. more
