My husband had to go to Munich for a few days for work and, since we only live a few hours away, I made the drive down since the company was paying for the hotel. This is a WAY nicer place than we usually stay in...we settle for clean, safe, and inexpensive so we were extremely pleased when we found... more

We went to Munich for a much needed two night break at the end of July. We selected the Konigshof because it is well located, was billed as 5 star and seemed to have a nice classical feel to the hotel. We were looking to stay in an atmospheric old hotel and the pictures on the hotel website of interior... more

This lovely, plush hotel is a world away from the standardized comfort of luxury chain hotels. It is privately owned, so they spare no effort to pamper guests with personalized service. Rooms are comfortable, bathrooms top-notch, great food, central location--but what makes this hotel stand out is, to say it again, the beautiful and caring service. First-class in every way. more

Enjoyed a 4 night stay in a Jr suite which overlooked the the fountain at the Karlsplatz at the beginning of the pedestrian zone. The location of this hotel is excellent. Easy 5 min walk to the train station. Staff is professional, helpful and very nice, especially the front desk personnel. There is free internet service at the computer in... more

This is a superb hotel with fantastic service. The front desk Manager, Christian, is one of the best I have across in my humble opinion. The restaurant is excellent (thank you Christian for getting us in on short notice) and not pretentious at all, despite the Michelin moniker. Unique wine selection and great advice and food pairings. Stick to german... more

Just returned from Munich and moved from the Bayerischerhof, due to noisy reinovations, to the Konigshof after extensive comparison with Mandarin and Kempinski. The Konigshof is situated mid-way between the main train station (hauptbahnhof) and the Marienplatz. It is a l0 minute walk either way and perfectly situated for anything. The subway (U) & (S) stop (Karlsplatz) are literally right... more

We went on a three-day holiday at Munich for shopping. The location of the hotel was ideal: close to the stores , so as to return on foot to leave the things we bought and go back to go on shopping...! The service was exellent! the room service, the reception... We are going this year too!!! more

This is one of the best kept secrets in Munich, perhaps all of Europe. Beautiful decor, attentive service, fabulous food, big rooms with elegant baths.... everything one could ask for. The location is superb, too - walking distance to Marienplatz, great shopping right outside, and an escalator right outside the front door that leads to the train station. Perfect!! more

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in the lead up to Xmas. Could not fault this hotel based on our experience. Easy to get to on S8 from the airport; every member of staff was friendly and efficient without exception; the room (#404) was large with a view over Karls Platz and the spires of the old... more
