Hotel Max let me check in early, and for that I will be eternally grateful. I had just flown in from the US and was carrying a backpack that was too heavy. I was sweaty and operating on zero sleep. This is an OK budget hotel with convenient location. About everything about the hotel can be described as "nothing fancy but usable." A notable exception is the breakfast: it is just a scam. They charge 9 euros, and there is practically nothing to eat. You would be much better off going out and eating at one of nearby coffee shops... more
I stayed there for 4 nightsjust been. The rooms themself are nice. Own sink in room. I stayed in room 33 which was so noisy due to construction work beingdone straight across room at moment. We stayed at this hotel during Oktoberfest so paid a premium price, but we were still impressed. It has a terrific location, on Amelienstrasse, just off the Oskar-Miller Ring (from the airport, take the S-Bahn to Marienplatz, and the U-Bahn to Odeonplatz); it is within walking distance of the U Bahn (or even the S-Bahn, but probably not with luggage).... more
