Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Location was close to the place I need, so it was okay but it took some time to go to the center. My room was clean and comfortable. Hotel looks modern and new. The breakfast was great and the employees were nice. We came late in the evening and ordered a pizza, which was a bit naff.

We recently stayed at this hotel while we were visiting Munich for Oktoberfest. The hotel is out of the center of town so it takes a car ride to the nearest train station to catch a train to downtown Munich; but overall no more than 40 minutes to get to the center of town. There is onsite parking (no fee), as well as proximity to restaurants and other services (again- a car will be needed). Being on the outskirts of Munich the hotel is easy to locate and to get into and away from. The rooms are a bit smallish but overall were clean and adequate. A good daily breakfast was provided with fruit, cereals, pancakes and a few hot dishes. The service was hit and miss- especially at the front desk. We arrived late after a delayed flight and the desk clerk was waiting for us and got us into our room straight away and was very friendly. On another occasion we had been locked out of our room and the key deactivated- when we visited the desk the young lady barked at me “I don’t know you- we have no one by that name here- who are you”? She then stormed off leaving someone else to pick up the pieces…it turned out the reservation was in my wife’s name but the clerk clearly did not want to be bothered with us. This is a good hotel if you don’t want the hassle with negotiating the hassle of central Munich and is close to the main highway making for easy travel onwards.

The pros: Clean as a whistle. Fresh, modern. The cons: small. No fridge. No way to control the room temp. Bed very close to the wall on one side. Could use a second towel rack in the bath. Way out in the country. From Munich it is 16 km out.

Clean and comfy! Easy to check in and there’s free parking in the garage below. The breakfast is great and the beds are pretty comfy. Small compared to American hotel rooms, however, just right for my adult son and me in as we tour Germany. I highly recommend, especially for the value.

We booked 2 nights, 21-23.6.2021. We have got a confirmation, and even on 18/6/2021 got a reminder and more details. Once arriving, late evening around 20:00, it turned out the hotel is totally closed , probably since 10/2020, according to an autonmated answer we recieved on e-mail, once trying to figure what is happening and where shall we stay for the night. Till now- no formal response from every formal place at Holiday inn we have approached. Very disapponting, and we do look for compensations.

We stayed for few nights. The room was Ok despite the foggy window. The main issue was on breakfast: very crowded, not enough tables. And they forgot to prepare the early breakfast for us, also it has been ordered in advance in the evening of the day before. The rest is fine - usual Holiday Inn.

A nice, clean, hotel at reasonable price. We booked a 3 night stay for 5 of us. Breakfast was included which was decent. Very busy at certain times, but staff worked hard to keep everything fresh. Location only average. A fair distance from the main city area's. 20 mins taxi (or 40 mins in rush hour). Or bus + train. Nearest train station was 20 min walk away, then 20 mins into downtown. We did both options seveal times. Also, not a great location if you are visiting for the Allianz Arena unless you have your own car, Reception was very welcoming + helpful. Rooms clean + tidy. Bed comfortable Bathroom was good, decent shower. One complaint. Room service food was advertised at being available 24hrs, but on the 1 occassion my wife tried to order something, just after midnight, was told the ovens were being cleaned so nothing available. Not impressed after a long, cold night out and expecting to be able eat when we got back

Currently staying here and not having a very good time. On check-in, we were ‘greeted’ by a grumpy receptionist who didn’t welcome us in any way - instead, it felt like we’d just disturbed him and he wasn’t pleased about it. The shower head in our room (211) wouldn’t stay in position and kept sliding down whilst showering. I reported this to the receptionist, the next morning, and didn’t get an apology. He suggested he’d get someone to look at it and then perhaps move us to a different room. I suggested I’d like to move anyway and he hesitantly agreed - again, looking grumpy because of the effort it’d take him. We agreed that we’d move rooms when we got back from our day out in Munich. Breakfast was quite poor - the cereal milk was very warm and almost putrid. I took one little bit and had to leave the rest of the cereal. There wasn’t a clean table for us to sit down on and the staff seemed overwhelmed. It was busy, to be fair, but they didn’t seem to be prepared for it at all. Later in the day, we had around 15 minutes to wait for a local bus, so decided to sit in the breakfast area. I assumed, due to a complete lack of any signage and the fact that the machine was turned on, that coffee was free to guests. I made one and sat back down. Around 10 minutes later, a receptionist came over and aggressively asked “do you need anything?”. I explained that we were staying in the hotel and just waiting for a bus. He said “you need to pay for the coffee”. It was very aggressive and very uncalled for. We went out for the day and, on our return, wanted to change rooms as agreed. We spoke with the coffee man from earlier in the day who, unfortunately, hadn’t been briefed by his colleague. Again, his customer service skills were severely lacking. No apology for the mess-around and only one word questions and answers. It made me very angry to be treated wi such disdain. We’ve decided to cut out]r stay in this hotel short and will not be coming back. Our impression of Holiday Inn Express, A’s first time users of this chain, are tarnished for good.

Nice Holiday Inn Express situated on the outskirts of Munich and near the autobahn. The hotel format is exactly what you will find while traveling on the US mainland highways. The front desk staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are on the small side but enough room for four people. Basic modern décor - a comfortable bed & a comfortable bathroom. Their breakfast buffet is good- offering cold and hot breakfast items, artisan breads, eggs, pancakes, pastries, etc... coffee machines prepare a great cappuccino. The hotel location is ideal if you want to visit Munich by train. The hotel is only 6 minutes away from the Feldkirchen Train Station by car. We chose to park (free) and ride the train to Munich to avoid having to pay for expensive parking in the City. The train ride to Central Munich is less than a 25-minute ride from the Feldkirchen train station. We purchased a family train ticket for 12 euros roundtrip and the entire family (5) visited Munich – a great deal! Easy Stay, Park & Ride to Munich!

Good hotel with a valuable breakfast and very nice and effective people at the reception (really customer oriented and quick to support their requests) Also very good the location just outside Munich and with a fast train connection (S-Bahn) Only bad point is the dimension of the room (very very small) and also the room service and cleanliness (pretty dusty)
