This is a charming little family-run hotel in a residential neighborhood in Munich. It is right across from a tram stop, so access is easy. Not much of interest close by the hotel itself. In exchange, it offers an unusually quiet night's sleep for an urban hotel. A generous breakfast is included in the price.

The owners and their staff speak only a little English, although they are friendly and will do their best; knowing basic tourist German will be a big help here.

Our room, a double, had its two beds so close they were virtually one, and devoted a surprising amount of floor space to wardrobes -- you would have to be staying a long time to need that much storage space. Religious and hunting items are the main decorative themes; the breakfast room walls are covered with trophy heads.

A good choice for someone wanting a calm and quiet hotel with a distinctly German personality.
