We spent 8 days in Munich staying at the Falkenturm. It's a great little hotel! The location could not be better, right around the corner from the Opera. Excellent price and in center city. Breakfasts were delicious, staff pleasant and helpful. We will definitely stay at the Falkenturm on our next trip to Munich. more

I wanted a short walk to all the main attractions and that's just what I got. Maximillianstrasse, Hofbrauhaus, Marienplatz, the farmers market are all just a block or two. Falkenturm is a good value and a great location. Nothing fancy. The rooms are tiny but clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent. It can be noisy at night on... more

the only good thing is the location. but since it is central, the small street can get quite noisy at night when the last nightowls stumble home. as far as the hotel goes: for a whooping price of 140€ i expect - and get also in Munich - a lot more. the rooms were very simple and outdated. the bathroom... more

This hotel is walking distance to everything! It's in the perfect location. You are literally around the corner from the famous Haufbrau House and the Hard Rock Munich. You are also about 4 blocks from the main town center and the metro. The room was good and the beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay there again! more

Cosy and well-run little hotel. Stayed for 3 nights in August and chanced upon this gem. The rooms are not big, just enough room for 2 big luggages. Has a small tv, cupboard and attached bathroom. The best part of the hotel is the location, its just a street behind Maximilian Strasse where all the brand-name boutiques are. Its also... more

Stayed in a double room at Hotel Falkenturm for one night. The location can't be beat. The room was extremely small so I wouldn't stay for an extended period. The bathroom was old but very very clean. The bed, desk, and carpet seemed new. Our room was at the back of the hotel which we thought would be quieter than... more

This is my second trip to Munich and I was looking for something really central to enjoy and explore this wonderful city. Hotel Falkenturm is exactly that. I was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem right in central Munich itself, just around the corner of MaximilianStrasse - the prime shopping street of Munich with its boutique shops and the... more

Great little hotel in the heart of Munich. Right around the corner from Hofbraeuhaus and all the pedestrian zones. Parking available in a near-by parking garage for 15 EUR/day. Clean, functional but small rooms. Comfortable beds. Quiet side street. Good breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. Great price. Would definitely stay here again! more

First the good stuff. Location is great. One street off the Maximillianstrasse, 5 minutes walk to Marienplatz, 1 minute to Hofbrauhaus. Price was great at 95Euro for this centrally located hotel. Staff is very friendly and most speak English. Small rooms (but this is Europe) Issues: not the easiest place to find until you know your way around and if... more

Stayed here for 1 night before heading over to East Europe during our 3 week European honeymoon. This hotel used to call "Altstadt Hotel" when I booked it, but when we arrived, they have changed their name to Hotel Falkenturm. Paid 139Euro for the night including breakfast. Free wireless internet which worked best if you bring the laptop to the... more
