Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Located within the walls so it is near everything a tourist needs. We had a room for 3 people and it was fairly adequate. Bathroom was very small. Parking is in an open area opposite the hotel. Not sheltered. But just across the street. Paid 15 eur per night for the parking. Not outstanding but fair value. I will stay again.

A charming and comfortable hotel, extremely well-positioned in the historic section of Nuremberg. Our room was perfect for our needs, Spacious, quiet, comfortable, and clean. The staff were very helpful. This neighborhood is really enjoyable with several pubs and restaurants very close by. One of my favorite boutique hotels we've ever stayed at. We also enjoyed the attached Thai restaurant --- delicious food. Highly recommended.

This is a gem of a hotel. Although it only rates 3 stars, it's very comfortable and immaculately clean. Its situation is ideal--within the old city, but out of the hustle of the tourist spots. The lobby and breakfast areas are attractive but dated. However, the rooms we had were clearly recently furnished, large, and very comfortable. Like many German buildings, it has thick windows which exclude street noise. And unlike most German hotels, it has air conditioning! Buffet breakfast was excellent both mornings. Service was friendly and and helpful. We will visit again!

The room was nice with two comfortable chairs and a nice bathroom with shower. We had to carry our suitcase up the stairs as there is no life in this part of the building, but that was okay. The breakfast was goof . They ask you the night before to book a specific time for breakfast , but when we went to breakfast at the time we chose only about 4 tables were occupied. It would be nicer to be able to choose when to go to breakfast in the morning, rather than make a decision the night before. The selection and quality of the bread and pastries was excellent, there was also fruit salad, cheeses , very nice home made jam, scrambled eggs . mini sausages and as well as cereal etc. The staff were friendly, and we slept well. We only stayed one night as we were en route to a Rhine cruise

Super thoughtful reception staff who had personalised welcome signs in the rooms, treats for the dog and the location right by weissgerbergasse in the middle of the beautiful old town is hard to beat. Given the location I expected small rooms and was pleasantly surprised, modern interiors, clean, spacious and comfortable. We also tried the Thai restaurant downstairs, a healthy yummy dinner.

Hotel Elch has the perfect location close to the heart of Nurnberg. It was a 3 minute walk to the center of Christmas Market. Their staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel Elch will accomadate your pets and the complementary Gluhwein was a great way to end our stay. I highly recommend staying here during any trip to Nurnberg!
