I stayed at Hotel Goliath last week for three nights. The location was excellent - only a minute or two to the Stone Bridge, close to shops and all tourist sites. I recently stayed for 4 nights in Goliath am Dom. I found the hotel excellent, probably the best 4 stars I have stayed in. The decor is smart and stylish. The room was spacious, with wonderful views to the gothic cathedral, and to the mountains, over the rooftops. The air conditioning was efficient (and useful in the end of August).... more
I realize that giving 5 stars across the board may make this review seem unapplicable. However, for the going rate of 150 euros a night that we paid for our stay there, the place was an incredibly luxurious value. I was in Regensburg for a medical procedure and my doctor recommended this hotel. It was nicer than anyplace we've stayed in Europe. Large comfortable rooms. Odd window in the shower. The staff was very accomodating, friendly, and thier English was good. Tip: Try the hot cocao in the bar, wow! Walking distance to all the sights. Will definitely stay... more
The excellent one year old hotel, privately owned. Super clean, good size rooms. Very central quiet location - can not be any better. English-speaking friendly front desk staff. Very nice breakfast included. Internet in the room - included. The underground parking is 150 yards away. If I visit Regensburg again, would definitely stay at this hotel. more
