Stayed at this hotel after a hectic week in Munich for Oktoberfest. Roter Hahn is an old building, but beautifully decorated, very eclectic - be warned, the lift only goes to the third floor (second floor in Europe) and our room was on the fifth floor, but being hearty lads we didn't mind, but for some this might be an issue. We had a double room, which I thought was huge by Euro standards. The breakfast buffet was great: mushrooms, artichoke hearts, mozzerella and tomatoes, various meats, etc. The staff was friendly and Regensburg, being a great walking city, is literally right outside the door. It's a great city, the type of city where other Germans come on holiday, and it's a young city, with the nearby university. Roter Hahn is smack in the middle of the city center, steps away from the Dom, the Ratthaus, etc., plus there are so many bars in this city, down alleyways that pass as streets, and the Roter Hahn is in stumbling distance.
