The hotel is located 10 minutes (walk!) from the main train station in Augsburg, in old town, on the edge of the main pedestrian zone. Unfortunately, this makes the rooms quite noisy through most of the night (due to people happily wandering around on pleasant nights), especially with the windows open (no A/C, but this is fine). This is the main thing I did not like about this hotel, but no doubt many would love the location (and the nightlife) and would not mind the noise.

The building itself is fairly old (like most buildings in town), but my room (including the bathroom) was very clean and modern. It was very large even by American standards (rooms in Europe tend to be small). As in all other hotels in Europe I stayed at, the double bed had two single mattresses and two single blankets enclosed in a blanket case (no separate blankets or sheets); there was a shower, but no bathtub.
