I stayed at this hotel on November 2008. I loved this place because the rooms were very cleaned, and the people who own this beautiful hotel gave us a warm welcome. We spoked in english because i didn't know german. The breakfast was excellent. Even if we went just one time, we will return for sure here. The view from the lake is awseomel, we visited the Castles who are near by and also the Spa (with thermal water). The hotel have also a sauna. more

I have stayed here on two occasions (2004 and 2005) and plan to do so again.
This small pearl of a guesthouse/hotel is situated right beside the main road in the small village of Hopfen am See, and is only 5 km from Füssen.
The placement is absolutely wonderful, and from the balconies on the south side you have a great view over the Hopfensee and the Allgäuer Alpen, as well as even Schloss Neuschwanstein.
The hotel is very clean and quiet since it has no dinner restaurant. It is possible to book an apartment as a double room as well, and in 2004-5 this cost only 58 EUR for two persons - quite a steal!
Breakfast is served in a small room with a view over the lake as well, and is not huge but good enough. The owners are friendly but to not speak much english if at all, but with some basic understand of the german language, this shouldn't pose much of a problem.
