Rothenburg is one of the prettiest cities in Germany and the Eisenhut is right smack in the middle of it. But if you are travelling in the warmer months beware there is no airconditioning and the rooms get very stuffy. The front desk staff is also unacceptably rude. The hotel surpassed my expectations. We had 2 rooms since we had 5 in our party. Both "Superior" rooms were quite large. Rooms fall into 3 categories: Classic, Superior, Deluxe. Stay here! The town itself is, of course, picture perfect. This hotel is the perfect match for the fairytale town: beautiful, romantic, helpful staff, beautiful and enormous rooms, quiet, delicious breakfast- it was exactly what we had been looking for and what we had envisioned.
