The Michelberger is a continually evolving modern family business serving and hosting people. A collective experiment. A place from where things can happen. We treasure what everyone is adding to our place, together bringing this urban sanctuary to life. We dream of a world of opportunity and benefit for the many over the few. A place where we meet each other with kindness, respect, patience, and understanding. We are here to shape the environment that we desire to live in. Above all, we are a human open social space. Where guests and hosts meet on an eye-to-eye level, where the appreciation for the craft of service, the quality of products, and the process behind is treasured golden. We run an organic, produce-driven restaurant that operates its own regenerative food forest outside of Berlin. In close cooperation with outstanding local producers, we serve what nature and season have to offer. The restaurant is open for brunch seven days a week and for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday. Sometimes all it takes is time and space.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved it, really relaxed, clean and super friendly, great location and the front lounge is a really great place to hang out. I have nothing but good to say about the staff who really made our stay. Train station across the street is very very handy.

The hotel experience starts with their website and is a clue to the creativity put into this place. We stayed in a loft room that faced the courtyard. The loft is unique and does require climbing a ladder and a little hike to get in the bed. The room was small, clean, had a TV with its own preset content, pretty poor WiFi, cute yoga/exercise room on different floor and very nice breakfast buffet with lots of vegan options. Open windows allowed airflow along with some music/courtyard noise that eventually got quiet and although its nonsmoking rooms unusual smells came from courtyard which caused us to close window. The challenge is with window closed it got unbearably stuffy in our room. It’s the main reason for four vs five stars. I would recommend the hotel simply not allow staff, guests or otherwise to smoke there at all. The hotel reception desk, housekeeping, and breakfast staff were very friendly, hardworking and helpful. The hotel restaurant is also recommended to try at least once which also had vegan options and excellent staff. The cafe had excellent staff as well just very few vegan food options.

Trendy hotel, but very noisy, breakfast below average. rooms comfortable with suprising amenities. Would not repeat again because of noise late at night from either other gueat in restaurant or the Garbage place outside the building

Cool hotel, very hip. Room was pretty tight and not the most luxe, but it's functional. Great location. There was no service at night and late at night the outside door locked and no one was around to explain how to get in. Sometimes it could be noisy. Overall a trendy hotel with a great vibe, but the room itself was just essentials.

The Michelberger was a great hotel to commence our Europe trip. Room was quite large & spacious & the bathroom was out of this world. I have never seen such a large hotel bathroom. Loved the Scandinavian duvet system with 2 duvets. Mattress was like a beautiful cloud but the wooden frame surrounding the mattress was quite hard on your legs when alighting from the bed. Staff were very helpful & nothing was too much trouble.

Wow. This used to be one of my favourite hotels on the planet. It skyrocketed downwards. Uninterested reception staff, jaded as hell are like 1980’s Soviet style staff. The bar crew is nice but all the great offerings are gone. The restaurant is overpriced and not that good with only one fixed three course menu that doesn’t change. Why does the bar nor the restaurants does some straight forward food anymore. Tosti’s and the same soup of the day for a week. A watery leek potato soup. It obviously thrives on a reputation it had ten years ago. There are many infinitely better choices in the neighbourhood. The indigo for example, but I would even opt for the Holiday Inn right behind it. The yoga teacher summed it up perfectly when she screamed on the top of her lungs: RELAX.

Really nice two night stay here last weekend – “Cozy” room felt large enough for two people – nice high ceiling. Lovely helpful staff. We had the hotel breakfast which I would recommend – it’s a healthy breakfast with lovely fresh everything! Location of the hotel was great for us. Would try and stay here again if we went back to Berlin and could get a reservation. Lovely courtyard in the centre of the hotel for drinks/food/just having a sit down and relaxing.

Me and my GF visited only for one night at the en of march 2023 but wished we would have stayed longer. I found out about that hotel via a mutual friend that recommended it. It was amazing to say the least!!! Great staff! And a special thanks to Alfonso at the front desk for all the help and recommendations. Rooms were super cool and clean and definitely worth their price. There is a metro and train station nearby so there was no problem travelling around the city. This hotel has 100% of my recommendation, the next time I am in Berlin I’m going back to Michelberger. Thank you everyone at Michelberger hotel

2 days ago a lot of stores were closed (international women's day), so we went to this hotel for a drink in their lounge room. Very cosy. We also decided to eat here, we had a menu in the lounge and the guy who helped us was very friendly and he loves his job, we felt that. The food was very delicious, the duck was amazing and the desserts were lovely!

Booked to stay here as it was quite close to the Mercedes Benz arena and we were going to a concert there. We were delighted with the hotel. The staff were so helpful at all times even helping us with directions and train lines. We did lots of sightseeing and found it easy to reach and central enough. The breakfast was amazing. Everything was so fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you
