Excellent location in Mitte, just at former the Wall. Quiet rooms with comfortable enough beds, very good buffet breakfast. For a small family, taking taxi to/from main attractions may be cheaper than public transportation and is, sure, much faster.

Booked that hotel at booking.com at a rate of 199 euro for two people/ 3 nights. It was great for this price, very convenient location, rich hot and cold breakfast. Relatively quiet location for a city centre hotel but conveniently situated for metro station and several attractions. When we arrived, the reception desk was manned by a man and a woman. They both totally ignored us and were particularly rude and unpleasant. This didn't make us feel welcome. The hotel is very strange as you enter at street level and then have to take a small old fashioned lift to the 4th floor to access the rooms.... More

We stayed here for four nights, more than we'd have liked given the Hotel. We had booked a double room and upon arrival in our room, only one pillow and blanket were provided. Stayed in this hotel in late December 2012, and couldn't believe how quiet our room was! The hotel is very close to the city centre, which enabled us to comfortably walk everywhere. Reception assistants were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast set us up for the day. Would definately recommend staying here, and we would also be staying here again.

The location is good, about a 3 or 4 minute walk from Spittelmarkt U-bahn, close to all the major places of interest in that area (Checkpoint Charlie, Gendarmenmarkt, two of the operas, shopping etc).
