Excellent overall. Short-stay apartments seem to be very popular in Germany, and it worked well for us. The check-in machine sounded daunting but was very easy – just key in your surname, press “Go” or something and the machine delivers your key and receipt. These self catered apartments are within a serviced building (with lift) in Wilhermsdorf and close to Charlottenburg and with good access to the major attractions via U2 and U7 U Bahn.
