And thats all I really want. Sure there are plenty of other nicer hotels around, but I like the Abendstern simple enough rooms with decent facilities, friendly breakfast room. The other really handy thing about the Abendstern is that it is a stones throw from Charlottenburg station (One minute hotel door to platform). There are overground trains every 2-3 minutes... more

The problems started when I arrived at 1:00 PM and was told that my room wouldn't be ready until 3:00 PM. I was tired from a transatlantic flight and would have liked to check in for a rest.
