Far from it all
9 Jul 2009 | Trip type: Couples New

I second what other reviewers have said about the less than convenient location for the general tourist. The hotel actually isn't all that far from Ku'damm and Zoo (by bus) or Potsdamer Platz, but it's not all that close, either. It is close to a few attractions (if you are an art historian or a well-heeled short-term visitor to the... more

I agree with most of the other comments, I stayed here for one night. Arrived by taxi. There are buses within a few hundred yards, but they are not necessarily convenient for visitors who don't know the area. Potsdamer Platz for access to underground trains is a ten minute walk - which was hard work in the fierce morning sun.... more

I stayed at this hotel last week while attending a conference held at the hotel. For Berlin this is not a particularly inexpensive hotel, but the hotel is well equipped, well maintained and the rooms comfortable. There are some important things to be aware of before staying here, however: 1) the location is NOT convenient. to get to any sort... more

we were here as a group of about a dozen people in for a conference. the hotel room was nicely decorated, but the hotel itself was a bit impersonal. my room was previously or currently a smoking room. as a non-smoker, this was a little annoying, but whatever. i got over it. i have to say however, that the breakfast... more

This hotel is centrally located between the K'damm area and the Postdam area. There is public transportation available within 1 block. The hotel facilities are well maintained, rooms are very comfortable and the location is nice and quiet. The hotel is located in the diplomatic quarter, with many embassies in the neighborhood. The only drawback is that there are no... more

The rooms in this business hotel are really great, large, nicely decorated and kept spotlessly clean. But it's also cold and impersonal. There is no coffee facility in the room, and you are just a number in what is a big business hotel. Foolishly, I left some keys and a panama hat there, and despite several calls to the hotel... more

The hotel in itself is huge, in the middle of a wooded and quiet area. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the services that are proposed (e.g. swimming pool) are nice. Desk staff was nice and efficient. WiFi connectivity is available though T-Mobil with a 1-month subscription rate at 29€ that is OK if you can reuse it.... more

Stayed for 2 nights to attend a medical symposium. Check in quick and efficent despite the volume of co-travellers all checking in together. Lift can only be accessed by swiping room key fob which gives extra security. Luxurious room, very spacious and comfortable. All usual amenities with good toiltetries, bathrobe and slippers. Room safe in wardrobe, mini bar available through... more

Wonderful Hotel. I stayed with my family in our first visit to Berlin and found the location to be very good for tourists. Staf was friendly, rooms are excellent and breakfast is outstanding. Swimming pool and Sauna are good too. No complaints and only praise. I strongly recomend it! more

Stayed here for two nights for a business trip to Berlin. Location is not as bad as some posts would suggest - 5 minutes walk to Potsdamer Platz and 15 minutes to Brandenburg Gate. Hotel itself is very nicely done. Yes it's a conference venue, but I'd rather have the buzz of people using the lobby than to have piped... more
