First of all the Modena is avery good Pension not a Hotel.I found it avery nice place to stay for 2 nights,spotlessly clean.good breakfast.staff very nice,its a lovely building and so differant to staying in a hotel,but i always get a feeling that i am in someones home compared to staying in a hotel.But its a great value considering what... more

Stayed at this hotel for one week, was sent by work so was told to book the cheapest one I could find, but was pleasantly surprised. I am just back from a five day trip in the Hotel Pension Modena with a friend and I can't recommend it enough. Hotel Modena is a quiet, clean and friendly pension in the heart of an artsy, fun area of Berlin. We were actually here on business-- for a trade show but the atmosphere really made it seem more like a vacation. The owners are extremely helpful and accommodating. Although the rooms are small they are adequate and well taken care of.... more
