We arrived very late - ca 1 o'clock at night. If your arrival will be also in the late hours then I firstly advise to have a mobile phone with you and also know the local area codes. Because the doors were closed and there was only a note on the door to call a certain number. Luckily we had... more

The Lindemann Fjord Hotel is well located in a quiet residential street very near the Kulturforum and Potsdamer Platz. We chose it for its proximity to the Philharmonie, and Gemaldegalerie. The hotel is very clean and the staff are nice. Two grumbles, though. We were asked to pay upfront as we checked in, and the towels were rather small and... more

Our room was surprisingly nice, larger than usual, and clean, if a bit old. There was no air conditioning, but they did provide a fan and we were never uncomfortable. There was lots of natural light. It was next to a playground and the sound of children's voices was surprisingly pleasant. It was very quiet at night, but a little... more

Located one U-bahn stop south of Potsdamer Platz the hotel is fairly central although not that easy to find without a map when getting of at Mendelsohn Bartholdy Park. Service was very professional, they made special arrangements for my late arrival (no 24h front desk). Room was immaculate and quite large. The hotel does unfortunately not offer free wifi. more

Excellent and very helpful staff, always greeting you with a smile and if they did not already know the answer to our questions they immidiately looked it up for us :-) The room was really nice and clean, nothing fancy but quite allright for our modest needs - sleeping! The hotel is located close to Potsdamer Platz, it just takes... more

It's impossible for me to rate this hotel as my stay never actually began. For the first time in many years of hotel stays, when I arrived my wife and I were told that our reservation was not being honoured as they had overbooked due to "an error with the system". (While telling us nothing could be done for us,... more

Recently stayed in the Fjord hotel with my partner and both sets of parents for a city break of four nights. Hotel is ideal, staff are very friendly and helpful and we did not encounter any problems at all. As the hotel is quite small it has the advantage of being able to provide more of a personal service than... more

1. The location was only OK. About a 10-minute walk from the Arkaden Shopping Center near Potsdamer Platz. The Arkaden is a long American-style shopping mall (including two supermarkets at the southern end). From the southern end of the shopping mall, you continue thru the business center, cross the street and a canal, then walk thru a park to the... more

The location was really out of the way, it was in a quiet tucked away street though, which was alright. They were doing construction on 1 side of the hotel though and our first night, early morning we heard all these loud banging noises, I wanted to leave but my bf said lets try asking for another room instead and... more

Six of us stayed at the Lindemann Fjord, with me & my boyfriend sharing a 'King Bed' room. The hotel is very pleasant, clean & fairly modern, with helpful staff (they happily brought up new pillows for us when we found we had feather ones - allergic), and a small bar. The room we had was a good size on... more
