We chose to stay at Schlafmeile Hostel on the basis of their good prices and positive reviews. We were not disappointed with the hostel itself - the rooms and bunks were quite large, the staff hospitable and it is located very close to lots of cheap places to eat and drink. Great place with friendly staff. very clean and good common room with table tennis and kitchen. In a great part of berlin, close to the longest part of the berlin wall, s-bahn, u-bahn stops are near by and there is a tram stop just across the road from the hostel. Travelled Europe for 3 months including the Rugby World Cup and this place was the most friendly spot of all. Staff were fantastic, the NZ owner Glen is very helpful and the rooms are clean and great value. HIghly reccommended, one of those "don't tell too many people about it, a hidden treasure". more
