I had high expectations, thought it would be very nice, Kempinski standard but it wasn`t at all. old ugly rooms but good room service, swimmingpool was an extra of 40 euro!!! i will definitely not return to this hotel! is not Kempinski standard at all! bad price-value ratio. more

It is no secret that the Atlantic needs refurbishing - and it is being announced in their Atlantic magazine to start soon. Can really be recommended. Good location in centre of Hamburg. Nice pool on 5th floor - clean and nice hot 28-29 degrees. Rooms are very big, but of course old because the hotel is old (note this other negative reviewers). more

I have always wanted to stay at the Kempinski becaus my colleagues in Hamburg thinks so well of it. And the location is quite good by the beautiful lake Alster. Impressive hotel from the outside. Worn and faded on the inside. Rooms are ok but the hotel feels a bit empty and cavernous with long corridors and dated decor and public areas. The only reason for staying here at the moment are the cheap rates being offered whilst the hotel undergoes an overhaul. more

I stayed here only becuase the clients I were to meet were already booked here. On the way in from the airport, I passed by Le Meridien down the street and saw what looked like a beautiful hotel.
