This hotel is now our new favorite in Hamburg. Granted, it is a short drive from downtown, but worth it for the tranquil setting, elegant environment, and luxurious accommodations for a reasonable price. The buffet breakfast is most appropriate for those on business travel, but the splurge for one day was well worth the price. more

I found every aspect of this hotel to be excellent; the staff, rooms, service, but especially the breakfast - fantastic, with view over the river. I booked this "leading hotel" in they web page and was going to stay there for one night from 17. to 18. May. But when we arrived there with two small kids (5 and 6 years old), they just said that they don't have a free room for us and send us avay to a 3* hotel for the same... more

I have stayed at the Louis C Jacob hotel on many occasions since 2002, and cannot recommend it too highly.
